A crown covers the entire tooth and requires substantial reduction. An inlay-onlay fits only inside the prepared cavity, preserving the majority of healthy tissue.
Lifespan varies and depends mainly on the patient — oral hygiene, dietary habits, mechanical load on the tooth and regular check-ups at the practice. No treatment can carry a guaranteed lifespan; longevity is specific to each clinical situation.
Outside France, coverage depends on your private dental insurance. In France, the ceramic inlay-onlay receives partial reimbursement from social security and complementary coverage from your mutuelle. A detailed quote is always provided.
