How do invisible aligners work?
The system is based on a series of custom-made transparent trays that move the teeth gradually toward their target position. Each tray is worn for one to two weeks.
- Discreet, removable trays that fit lifestyle and social context.
- Treatment fully planned in 3D before it starts.
- Regular follow-up at the practice and remote check-ups when needed.
Indications and limits
- Crowded, spaced or slightly rotated teeth.
- Mild to moderate bite issues.
- Esthetic finishing before veneers or whitening.
- More complex cases may require a combined approach with traditional orthodontics.
Treatment duration and follow-up
Depending on the complexity, an Invisalign treatment usually lasts between 6 and 18 months. Compliance is essential: trays must be worn around 22 hours a day to deliver the planned result.
- Check-up every 6 to 10 weeks.
- Retainer phase at the end of treatment to keep the new position stable.
